Technology

Dr. Alvarez feels that technology is something that separates ordinary dentistry from outstanding dentistry. Since establishing the practice in 2002, Dr. Alvarez has been an early adopter and at the forefront of technology in dentistry

Dr. Alvarez was one of the first dentists in New York to introduce the Waterlase All Tissue Laser into his practice in 2003. Dr. Alvarez became a fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute in 2005, at their annual meeting in San Diego, California. Click here to learn more about laser dentistry.

IN 2009, Dr. Alvarez incorporated the CEREC CAD/CAM system to digitally take impressions and create same day crowns, porcelain veneers, inlays, onlays, and bridges in the office, as well as doing same day dentistry smile makeovers. Dr. Alvarez completed his Advanced CEREC Mastery at the prestigious Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2009. Click here to learn more about CEREC dentistry

The office is fully digital, including Schick digital dental x-rays, which offer a 90% reduction in radiation versus traditional X-rays. Our office also has an on-site CBCT cone beam CT scanner, the Vatech America Green CT which performs CAT Scans with up to 70% less radiation as compared to other CT scanners on the market. Dr. Alvarez uses the CBCT to help treatment plan dental implant surgery, to do fully guided implant surgery, to evaluate issues in your sinus or TMJ, and to detect other pathology that may be present.
